Student Representative Council (S.R.C.)
At Overport Primary School, we are fortunate to have a group students that work together on projects that enhance and complement our studies and develop the skills and values of communication, organisation, empathy and understanding. The SRC or Student Representative Council is comprised of the Year 6 school captains, the house captains and two representatives from each of the Year 5 grades. This team of dedicated students work on special events held throughout the year including the Easter Hat Parade, ANZAC Day ceremony, Footy Day, Remembrance Day and the school disco.
The students work collaboratively with their teacher mentor to raise an awareness for a multitude of causes and medical conditions that can affect or have affected a family member. Charities our school have donated money to include:
State Schools’ Relief ·
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
Royal Children’s’ Hospital
Mekarsari Bali School
Returned and Services League of Australia
Australian Cancer Council
