Art

In art this year we have completed activities with paint, clay, rubbings, designed masks and created 3D images. The themes we have covered this term include Space and Bookweek activities.

We have also had visits from the Bunnings activity coordinator. The students made scarecrows and planted and designed pot plants for Mothers Day. Prep children will be participating in a Bunnings workshop in September.

During Literacy week in September we hare looking forward to  a cartoon workshop for the whole school held by Richard Galbraith – an author and cartoonist.

Overport students have one hour of art each week with the art specialists. They complete activities in a variety of areas throughout the year including threads and textiles, drawing, painting, construction and modelling.
