Curriculum Showcases

In 2006 the Science Expo was held at Overport Primary School.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         It was an excellent opportunity for students of Prep to Grade 6 to showcase their talents in all things Science. Students enjoyed creating, designing and investigating scientific phenomena and things that exist in the world.

There are seven categories that students in which placed entries:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 · Experiments
· Creative Writing
· Working Models & Inventions
· Posters
· Games
· Computer Games & Simulations
· Science Photography

In 2007 and 2008 we showcased Art with a Student Art Show.   The work was of a very high standard demonstrating a great understanding of a range of art skills and areas.

The categories were:
· Painting
· Drawing
· 3D and construction
· Collage
· Sketching
·Photography

In 2009 we have showcased Music and Performing Arts.    In Education Week, we had a musical showcase in our new school hall.  The Student School Band and Rock Band performed.  As well both parents and staff had their turn.  It was a wonderful example of the music program that permeates Overport PS.   This was supported by our Annual Instumental Concert, once again held in our hall and then by our fantasitc Annual Producation performed by all students at Frankston Cultural Centre.  Click on this link to see the more....
