Easter Parade

Hopping along to the Easter Hat Parade is an annual event for the students at Overport Primary School . It has been a long standing tradition of the school to encourage competitive spirit in being the most creative designer, constructor or milliner of each age group.

2005 was the most exciting parade the school had seen, with the majority of students participating. There were small hats, tall hats, chocolate hats and the greatest surprise of all was the appearance of the real Easter Bunny…He was “very gorgeous” as some of the Mum’s remarked and funnily enough he resembled that handsome teacher Mr. Whelan…

It is a great family and also Overport Primary School community festival where the parents and teachers assisted in the creating, judging and presenting of prizes, medals and certificates to each entrant and the best thing was getting to eat the decorations on the hats, What a delicious morning!
