Years 5 and 6

The Middle Years program runs from Years 5 – 9 and gives students the opportunity to develop skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. Most students progress satisfactorily during the middle years but it is a time when some students "switch off" from schooling. An understanding of the variety of ways in which young adolescents learn and think is required if we are to meet their needs.

Bridges - The Middle Years

At Overport the Middle Years program in the senior school offers students a vast range of discipline based curriculum, which caters for all learning and thinking styles. We also offer students the chance to take part in extra curricular activities such as the school production, year 5 and 6 camps, the RACV energy breakthrough challenge, inter school sports, a variety of leadership and responsibility roles throughout the all areas of the school and most importantly the skills to become active members of the local community and lifelong learners.

2009 LEADERS
