Have a wonderful weekend everyone, Kind Regards, Julie Gleeson Principal Good afternoon Parents and Carers,
Please see attached information around changes to our staggered return and student mask requirements. Kind Regards, Julie Gleeson Principal Overport Primary School Dear Parents and Carers,
Please see the attached information with outlines of our staggered start back to school, as well as our plans to keep everyone safe. Also, included is the QR code to register supervision for those students who are eligible but who may not back in classrooms on various days. For example, if you have a prep and year 3 student and you are an authorised worker who needs to work on Monday. Your prep child will be in their class with their teacher, but your year 3 child will need to be registered and then dropped at the hall for on-site supervision I hope that is clear. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email or phone to clarify any concerns you may have. Please be mindful that the children may be quite tired after school as we begin this return. We will continue to focus on wellbeing and support them. Please reach out if you need advice or assistance. We are looking forward to a wonderful start as we begin to return. Kind Regards, Julie Gleeson Dear Parents and Carers,
Please see attached the QR code for next week, as well as very important information from the Department of Education in relation to access for on-site supervision from 18th October. Also please note: We have been advised by the Department that from 18th October, students from years 3 to 6 will be required to wear face masks at school. This is in line with the current policy for children 12 years and older. Kind Regards, Julie Gleeson Principal Dear Families,
I am passing on this information that was provided by DET about the vaccination weekend walk-in blitz across Melbourne’s South East by the Monash Health South East Public Health Unit. The Monash Health South East Public Health Unit will be running a vaccination weekend walk-in blitz across Melbourne’s South East this coming weekend. The vaccination walk-in blitz will offer the Moderna Vaccine to everyone aged 12 to 59 years and the AstraZeneca vaccine to those aged 60 years and above. No bookings will be required: just turn up, roll up your sleeve, and get vaccinated against COVID-19 at no cost. Moderna, like Pfizer, is a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine. Moderna is safe and highly effective in protecting you against getting COVID-19. With two doses of the Moderna vaccine, you are far less likely to get very sick or need to go to hospital with COVID-19 disease. This high level of protection also applies to new variants of COVID-19, such as the Delta variant. The Moderna vaccine is safe in pregnancy and in children from 12 years of age. The Moderna vaccine has been successfully rolled out in many countries across the world including the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, and Singapore. Anyone aged 12 and older can walk-in and get vaccinated at one of the participating vaccination clinics: · Dandenong Pop-up Clinic – Palm Plaza Mall Car Park (off Clow Street), Dandenong from 9am to 4pm, everyday · Sandown Racecourse Vaccination Centre – 591-659 Princes Hwy, Springvale from 9am to 4pm, Friday 1 October – Sunday 3 October · St Francis Xavier College, Officer Campus – 21 Majestic Dr, Officer from 9am to 4pm, Saturday 2 October – Sunday 3 October · Frankston Community Vaccination Hub – Bayside Centre, Frankston from 11.30am to 6pm on Friday 1 October and 9:30am – 4:00pm on Saturday 2 October – Sunday 3 October COVID-19 cases are increasing across Melbourne’s South East. Everyone is encouraged to get vaccinated now to protect yourself, your family and the community. Bookings are also available at the Sandown Racecourse Vaccination Centre and the Frankston Community Vaccination Hub via the online booking system or calling 1800 675 398. Have a good weekend.
