Dear Parents and Carers,
Please find attached a letter of thanks to parents from the Secretary of the Department of Education and Training.
As we move into a new normal, appreciation from the Secretary, Jenny Atta, has been expressed and mirrors my own thoughts.

Dear Parents and Carers - year Prep to 2,
What a wonderful job you all did today. Thank you all for being so respectful and understanding. I am so proud of our community.
And what an absolute delight to see so many smiling and happy faces of our children as they returned and settled in so well. (Also delighted happy faces of our teachers so thrilled to see your children again!)
It is very clear from all our teachers that you have done an amazing job at home as they were all so well engaged as they returned to school almost as if here had been nothing unusual happening.
The teachers and our families make a truly great team. The school leader, specialist teachers and integration staff members were all enjoyed greeting the students too.
More bubbles tomorrow!
Best wishes,
Julie Gleeson.

Dear Parents and Carers,
As I indicated yesterday, it is critical that we have sufficient staff for supervision of year 3 to 6 students of essential workers if required before they all return on 9th June.
Please note the deadline to enable us to arrange sufficient staffing for the on-site attendance next week has now passed. Therefore, no other students can now be accommodated.
However, if you require supervision for the week commencing Monday 1st June, please forward the form (attached) before Wednesday, 27th May.
Thank you for cooperation.

Good afternoon everyone,
It's so wonderful to see so many of our students are uploading work to SeeSaw or Google Classroom. What a great effort and what wonderful support they are getting for all of you!
Our teachers have decided that from next week we are changing Fridays to "Well-being Day and Catch-up" day. There won’t be any scheduled ‘curriculum’ activities, a part from the occasional Well-being activity.
This will give the children a chance to complete any activities not yet finished or do one or two that they have not yet started, if they like.
It also means that you can take a breather and the children can do something for their own well-being that is also fun. This could be art and creativity, imaginative play, building with Lego, mindful colouring, remote digital catch-up with family or friends , baking a cake, playing outside or on a board game, etc.
We will continue to review our “Well-being and Catch Up” Friday’s as we travel along this new learning journey together.
Please see the letter from our teachers attached. We are all very proud of your efforts with your children.

Dear Parents and Carers,
I write to you to reiterate that students must NOT be at school unless it is impossible for them to be at home or in care with relatives. The safest place for your child is at home.
Therefore, I have now attached a declaration that you must fill out before children can be accepted on-site. I have also attached the on-site application.
These MUST be received no later than Wednesday at 4.00 pm to allow me to arrange staff supervision.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Please keep safe, stay at home, keep in touch and stay well.
