Library

At Overport Primary School, we have a well-stocked library with books for all ages, computers for research and for searching the literature collection, games to play, lunchtime activities and tables, chairs, a couch and cushions to chill out on. The library has recently been refurbished and is now double the size!

The library is open every lunch time to allow students to come in and work on the computers, read books and generally socialise and chill out in a quiet place.

We encourage students to come into the library to read and borrow books, relax with their friends, watch movies, listen to stories and use the computers.

In library lessons, we explore fiction and non-fiction texts, use the resources to complete projects, look at film as text and share reading experiences.
